Catalog description
This beginner course introduces musical theatre performers to fundamental tap techniques and repertoire found within the diverse styles of musical theatre Tap. It includes basic terminology, rhythm progressions, and Broadway-style combinations. Students develop performance skills, physical and spatial awareness, and the ability to execute basic rhythm sequences. The course also covers brief tap dance history and professional audition procedures.
