Catalog description

This beginner course introduces students to essential Musical Theatre dance techniques and styles, including jazz and ballet, foundational movement skills, and musical theatre combinations. Emphasizing rhythm, alignment, flexibility, strength, and musicality, it includes cultural and historical dance influences and professional audition procedures. Designed for new Musical Theatre students with no previous structured dance training, the class is also open to the wider campus community. No previous dance experience required.
