Catalog description

Course builds on the production skills covered in Television Arts: Production and introduces the intermediate techniques of television directing. The course will focus on multi-camera directing techniques. Students will learn how to visualize and plan for multi-camera productions and real-time scenes. Students will break down scenes for shooting in a multi-camera environment, learn live switching techniques, camera and talent blocking, and working with actors. Students who complete this class will have experience in a variety of shooting styles and genres found in television today.
