Catalog description

In this course, science depicted in science fiction stories, novels, television programs, and cinema will be utilized to teach important scientific concepts. Topics may include areas such as physiology, atomic structure and the periodic table, biology, chemistry, physics, temperature, gases, nanotechnology, and more. Students will learn about the accuracy of the science in this genre while learning about the concepts portrayed in the works of science fiction.
