Voice Acting for Animation

Catalog description
This course explores acting and character creation techniques used in vocal performances for different styles of animation. Students will use acting exercises, improv exercises, and scripts to develop the necessary skills of text analysis, acting, emotional range, preservation of voice, and ad-libbing. Students will gain valuable experience in the technicalities of auditioning, taking direction, performance, and the recording process. Students will produce animation voiceover clips for their personal website and a small collection of go-to voices developed during the course.
