Catalog description

This course introduces students to advanced retouching and compositing techniques and skills used by professionals in many aspects of current photographic practice. Advanced computer tools, theories of image construction and enhancement, and the moral and ethical implications surrounding image manipulation will be addressed in this advanced level class. Students will work on provided image files using Adobe Photoshop and Capture One Pro for weekly assignments that are assessed by review and classroom critique. Students will apply these skills to individual, high-quality final projects.
