This studio course begins the media music orchestration sequence by examining electronic elements and elements of popular music in the production process. This examination includes considering the sonic and dramatic consequences of not just instrumentation but also of various elements of recording, mixing, and sound production. The final weeks prepare for the subsequent orchestration class by introducing traditional acoustic orchestration.
