Catalog description

This course examines contemporary arranging and orchestration, including working with virtual instruments in a digital audio workstation (DAW), as well as acoustic and electronic instruments, their ranges, and sound characteristics. Students will learn to create basic arrangements, orchestrations, and mixes for large and small ensembles in various genres. Topics also include DAW session management and score/ part preparation according to contemporary industry practices.
