In this course, students will explore the art of graphic storytelling through lectures, presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, delving into comics, graphic novels, and other forms of graphic narrative. They will study key storytelling elements such as timing, pacing, and sequencing, applying these techniques to develop personal projects. By examining the history of graphic narrative and analyzing contemporary works, students will critically engage with the medium and its evolving role in storytelling. The course encourages each student to cultivate a unique voice and artistic approach to sequential art, preparing them to create impactful and distinctive graphic narratives.
