Catalog description

This course explores the histories of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer people. You will examine the diverse experiences, contributions, and challenges of LGBTQ+ communities, situating them within broader political, cultural, and social contexts. Together, we'll analyze how ideas of sexuality and gender have evolved over time and how systems of power, oppression, and resistance have intersected with race, class, and other identities.
