Catalog description

Grant Writing prepares you to identify funding opportunities, analyze proposal requirements, and write compelling grant applications. You will complete a series of short, engaging assignments that emphasize professional communication: following directions carefully, revising effectively, consulting with peers and stakeholders, and submitting proposals according to funder specifications. Through case studies of funded and unfunded grants, you learn both best practices and common pitfalls. By the end of the course, you will have developed the confidence to see grant writing as a transferable skill-one that can fund your own projects, support community initiatives, and strengthen your professional communication abilities.
