Venue Management: Practicum

Catalog description

This course provides students with experiential learning opportunities in programming, marketing, and operating a performance, sporting, or conference space. The course will include classroom activities and hands-on experiences in the process of identifying appropriate programs and artist/attractions; determining demand and capacity needs, developing a performance schedule; contracting talent; devising an operational plan and support documents; managing live public events; budgeting and marketing.
