Catalog description

The course examines the origins of animation, visual effects, and game art, tracing their evolution to contemporary productions. It will analyze the lives and environments of key figures, alongside the artistic and narrative influences that have shaped these disciplines. Weekly screenings of both independent and commercial films and videos from around the world will provide insight into the historical context and future directions of these art forms. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the motivations and influences of various artists and innovators, as well as their sociopolitical impact and technological advancements.
