Catalog description

Capstone course in Sustainability. This course includes a senior research project focused on how human social, political, and/or economic activities both affect and are affected by natural systems and processes. Students will ask a central research question related to the social dimension of sustainability, review the scientific literature, and conduct quantitative and/or qualitative research to answer the research question. The results will be presented in a research paper as well as an oral presentation. Prerequisite(s): C or higher in SUST 400W ; C or higher in BIOL 224 / PSYC 224 / SOCI 224 ; C or higher in PSYC 275/SOCI 275 or ENGL 204W ; C or higher in PSYC 225 / SOCI 225 or ANTH 327 / SOCI 327 .
