Catalog description

This course introduces students to the administrative, legal, and political context of human resource management in public and nonprofit organizations. Topics include laws and policies, compensation, recruitment, retention, performance management, diversity, training, leadership, ethics, communication, change management, decision-making, and conflict resolution. Students develop the skills to address public service challenges and to contribute as HR leaders in government and nonprofit organizations.
