This course surveys the artistic production of Latin America from post-World War II to the present. Topics include experiments with abstraction, pop, conceptualism, and performance; the incorporation of indigenous, European, and U.S. art practices; the influence of social and political revolutions and counter-revolutions on art; and the effects of globalization on Latin American Art. Taught in English.
