Explores disaster response and recovery as the last two phases of the disaster cycle, including characteristics, functions, procedures, and resources of an integrated disaster response system. Considers the psychological and physiological human response to natural and human-made disasters. Utilizing case studies, students apply theories, principals, and practices of response and recovery to actual disaster events.
