Catalog description
A study of methods and materials suitable for general music in middle school and secondary. This study includes an introduction to graded choral literature; major music methods, as well as major educational theorists; and specifically, vocal techniques, choral methods, and materials. Includes field experience of 15 hours. This course is part of a program that leads to Missouri certification. Students who do not live in Missouri will be required to sign an attestation that they will complete their field experiences and student teaching in Missouri and will work in Missouri upon graduation.
