Catalog description

Pre-student teaching experiences with students K-12. Basic techniques and methods for planning, teaching and assessing art K-12. National, state and visual arts guidelines of a comprehensive art education program are reviewed. Hands-on activities for use of tools, materials and methods for creating a variety of K-12 art studio projects. Includes field experience of 15 hours. This course is part of a program that leads to Missouri certification. Students who do not live in Missouri will be required to sign an attestation that they will complete their field experiences and student teaching in Missouri and will work in Missouri upon graduation.
