Catalog description

This theory course introduces the language and processes of research within the nursing profession. The research competencies to be examined include interpreting and using research in nursing practice, evaluating research, and conducting research. Course content focuses on retrieving, reading, evaluating, disseminating, and using research in nursing practice. This course will focus on current review of nursing literature and research utilization through evidence-based practice Prerequisites: admission to the Online RN to BSN or the Bachelor Level Nursing Program; MATH 250 or BIOL 224, PSYC 224, or SOCI 224; and ENGL 133W. BSN Corequisite(s): NURS 222, NURS 211, NURS 211L, NURS 301, and NURS 301L.
