Catalog description

This course emphasizes the basic principles of human nutrition related to nutrients and food sources and how they are utilized in the human body for growth and health throughout the lifespan. This course includes the study of assessment data, nutritional support, food and drug interactions, herbal remedies, weight management, and nutritional interventions for various disease processes. This course also assesses contemporary nutrition issues. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Online RN to BSN or the Bachelor Level Nursing Program, BIOL 110.
