Catalog description

The purpose of this class is for students to gain experience helping clients of the Columbia College Business Clinic who are entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses not only in the Columbia, MO area, but also around the country. Throughout the course, students would be working for one or multiple clinic clients through project-based work from start to finish: initial client needs meeting; project timeline development and task delegation; completion of tasks at a high level; and final project presentation to the client. Students will complete work for Business Clinic clients under the guidance of a Faculty member who will have weekly meetings with the students to assess project progress. The student's performance would be assessed on the student's ability to meet deadlines, perform tasks at a high level, ability to work within a team, and overall professionalism. Prerequisite: Junior Standing and Instructor approval.
