Catalog description
Field experience working as an intern in a private or public agency. Supervised, on-site work is required. Forty-five clock hours of experiential work are required for each semester hour of credit. The directing faculty member must approve the internship placement. Grades are assigned as S (satisfactory) or U (unsatisfactory). Students may register for no more than 6 science internship credits (399 and 499 combined) during their time at Columbia College. Cross-listed as BIOL 399/CHEM 399/FRSC 399. Prerequisite(s) / Corequisite(s): Declared major in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, and Molecular Biology. Junior standing. Students must have completed with a grade of C or higher 15 hours in their major prefix.
