Catalog description
This course is designed to address the governance and management of enterprise IT. This course covers a wide range of topics, including IT governance, strategic alignment, value delivery, risk management, and resource management, value delivery, including the processes and systems that organizations use to deliver value to stakeholders. Students will learn about the role of IT in creating and delivering value, and how to measure the value of IT investments. Risk management is also covered in the course, including the processes and tools that organizations use to manage risk. Students will learn about the different types of IT risks, how to assess and manage them, and how to develop effective risk management frameworks. Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to practice their skills through hands-on labs and exercises. By the end of the course, students will have gained a solid foundation in the principles and techniques of IT governance and will be prepared to take the CGEIT certification exam. Prerequisite(s): CYSC 515, CYSC 525, CYSC 545, CYSC 555 and BUSI 575 or CYSC 575.
