An introduction to cryptography and computer security. Topics include cryptographic methods, hash functions, key exchange, secure communication, message authentication, digital signatures, network security, system security, modern day security protocols and standards. Cross-listed as MATH 451. This course was formerly CISS 451. Prerequisites: MATH 225 and COSC 245 or CISS 243.
