Catalog description

As a companion course to COMM 230, Communication Research Methods provides students tools to examine and apply quantitative, qualitative, and critical methods of research, specifically as tools to be used in various industry settings and to offer insight into larger social constructs. In this research and writing intensive course, student work will culminate in a portfolio displaying various research methods employed in the critical exploration of a communication problem and/or phenomenon. Prerequisite(s): ENGL 133W and COMM 230.
