Catalog description

An introduction to programming using Java. Topics covered include basic programming concepts such as methods, classes, objects, inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation, arrays, strings, and collections, as well as file input and output, with a primary focus on object-oriented programming. Prerequisites: Grade of C or higher in MATH 150, or a score of 24 or higher on the math portion of the ACT or 540 or higher on the math portion of the SAT.
