Catalog description

From the beginning of the 17th century to the end of the 18th century, countries across the globe experienced multiple revolutions from the Scientific Revolution to the French Revolution and beyond. These revolutions shaped, changed, and were themselves manipulated by the art and artists of those periods. This course examines the art related to these revolutions from 1590 - 1910 also encompassing the period of Enlightenment, which radically shifted the way we perceive the world. Prerequisites: ARTS 111 and 112.
