Catalog description

Explores the role of systems of oppression in society and avenues to create individual and collective change through social action. The course highlights empowerment and agency to enact change. This course explores issues of diversity including, but not limited to race, class, gender, age, sexualities, and abilities, informed by prevailing gender and queer theoretical frameworks. This is a statewide Guaranteed Transfer course in the GT-SS3 category.
