This course helps students prepare for the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification exam. Achieving PMP® certification demonstrates that students have the knowledge, experience, and skills to successfully manage and complete projects. Students analyze scenarios and case studies across the project life cycle to learn the required project management tasks from start to finish. The course content focuses on the three PMP® exam domains: people, process, and business environment. Agile, hybrid, and traditional project delivery methods are addressed throughout the course. Students will analyze the four strategic dimensions - organizational dynamics and structure, strategic alignment and value creation, agile transformation imperatives, and the digital revolution - that are reshaping project management practice. Students practice exam questions and take sample exams to test their knowledge and mastery of effective test-taking strategies. After completing this course, qualified students may apply for and take the PMI PMP® certification exam. The course is taught by PMP-certified faculty with 20+ years of industry experience. This course is designed for students with a minimum of three years of experience as a project manager who are planning to take the PMP certification exam. This course satisfies the requirement of 35 PDUs required to take the PMP exam.
