Law, Regulation and Ethics in Long Term Care

Catalog description

Students will identify state and local regulations affecting the long-term care industry. Compliance with health and safety laws and regulations will be reviewed. Students will investigate employment regulations and mandatory reporting. Regulations for security, use, and transmission of protected health information are discussed. Finally the importance of the survey process is examined.
