Catalog description

HRM515 prepares students to effectively address complex workplace issues and to negotiate various legal challenges. Employment law has many complexities and intricacies, which need to be understood. In this course, students will learn more about the benefits and drawbacks of federal and state laws, will explore how these laws impact the workplace environment, and will synthesize scenarios to make decisions that achieve the best outcomes possible. Students will also learn about the importance of relying upon external sources and experts to ensure laws are properly interpreted, thereby ensuring compliance.
