Catalog description

Prepares students for trauma informed social work practice in health and behavioral health care settings. Students gain knowledge, skills and proficiency in applying theoretical models and evidence-based interventions. Focuses on five critical health practice competency areas: psychosocial assessment, treatment interventions, interdisciplinary teamwork, ethics, and leadership. Students will explore social work roles across a range of healthcare settings. Prer., Graduate Social Work students only. Meets with SOWK 4053.
