Catalog description

Examines the processes and conditions that produce the systems of differences and privilege shaping our lived experiences. Critically analyzes the prevailing cultural ideologies surrounding class, race, gender, sexuality, and ability. Emphasizes awareness, respect, justice and resolution. Approved for Compass Curriculum: Inclusiveness-Diversity & Power Dynamics (US/Local). Approved for LAS Cultural Diversity requirement. Prer., SOC 1110 or equivalent.
