Students deepen exploration of pitch and harmony though various styles of counterpoint- Renaissance counterpoint, Baroque chorales and fugues, gospel and jazz harmonic practices. Students investigate chromatic harmony, examples in popular genres, and complete creative Prer., MUS 1010 or instructor approval.
