Catalog description
Why do some organizations succeed while others struggle? This course introduces the core principles of management and helps students understand how organizations work and how people collaborate in today’s workplaces. Students explore leadership, motivation, teamwork, and organizational effectiveness through real-world examples across business, nonprofit, and public settings. The course provides practical skills for working in teams, navigating organizations, and building success in any career. Students are urged to complete PSY 1000 and SOC 1110 before taking this course. Approved for Compass Curriculum: Explore-Society, Health and Behavior; Inclusiveness-Diversity & Power Dynamics (US/Local). Prer., Junior standing.
