Catalog description
Numerical solutions of initial-value problems, two-point boundary-value problems for ordinary differential equations, and applications. Numerical methods for solving linear partial differential equations, including finite difference and finite element method. Laplace, heat, and wave equation. Prer., MATH 2650 or adequate experience with computer programming. Meets with MATH 5670.
