An introduction to applied numerical methods for engineering problem solving using MATLAB. Topics covered include root finding, optimization, solution of linear systems of equations, curve fitting, numerical integration and differentiation, and numerical solution of ordinary differential equations. Prer., MATH 3130, MATH 3400, MAE 1090. Meets with MAE 4020.
