Introductory concepts of bulk and molecular material properties in polymers. Fundamental concepts of rheological and mechanical response in polymers and polymer composites including applicable characterization methods. Processing techniques applied to thermoplastics, thermosets, polymer composites. Prer., MAE 2200, MAE 2301, and MAE 3005. Meets with MAE 5550.
