The principles of heat transfer: conduction, convection, and radiation. Steady-state and transient conduction, thermal contact resistance, insulation, heat capacity. Forced and natural convection, velocity and thermal boundary layers, fluid flow. Radiation from blackbodies, surfaces and the sun. Experiments in thermodynamics and heat transfer.
