Catalog description
Introductory course. Students will learn what information systems are, how they work, and what purposes they serve. Students will also learn about data and information, decision making and the value of information. This course touches on such topics as trends in hardware and software, telecommunications, and databases. Also covered will be the integration of information with the organization, and what is required to manage the creation of information systems. Prer., Graduate students only.
