Catalog description
Great Ideas in Science will examine a set of important concepts from the fields of biology, chemistry, and physics. Specific topics will include the origin of the universe, the atomic theory of matter, the chemical nature of the physical and biological systems and biological evolution. This course deals mostly with concepts of how certain scientific ideas evolved to a theory or law. Approved for Compass Curriculum requirement: Explore-Physical and Natural World. Approved for the LAS Natural Science area requirement.
