Catalog description
This course introduces key sex differences in skeletal muscle, cardiovascular, and respiratory physiology. Students will consider how physiological sex differences may impact exercise prescription as well as rehabilitation/ treatment strategies. Small group discussion and hands-on laboratory demonstrations will accompany lectures. Prer., HPNU 3050 (formerly BIOL 3050 or BIOL 4350) and HPNU 3060 (formerly BIOL 3060 or BIOL 4360). Meets with HPNU 5400.
