Catalog description

Explores the nature and sources of improvement in the standard of living in a nation or region. Among the issues addressed are the measurement of development, the role of government, gender implications of development, and environmental and economic sustainability. Local, regional, and international issues are addressed. Approved for Compass Curriculum requirement: Sustainability. Prer., ECON 1010 or ECON 2020 with a "C" or better.
