Catalog description

This course introduces the principles and practices of information security across the enterprise technology stack. Students examine network and application security, cryptographic protocols including public-key infrastructure and TLS, vulnerability assessment, risk management, and security information and event management (SIEM). Hands-on laboratory exercises using industry simulation environments reinforce core concepts, while a team-based project investigates the role of artificial intelligence in both cybersecurity threats and defensive strategies. Course content aligns with CompTIA Security+ certification objectives and prepares students for that credential. Coreq., INFS 3700.
