Evolution of the central concepts of programming languages, describing syntax and semantics, data types, abstract data types, control structures, subprograms, concurrency and exception handling. Prer., CS 2160 with a grade of "C" or better; CS 3020 or CS 3060 or CS 3080 with a grade of "C" or better. College of Engineering students only.
