Catalog description

This is an introductory course to cover a broad range of concepts and applications of Business Intelligence (BI) from the managerial perspective. This course provides students with a solid foundation in BI, reinforced with hands-on practice to help future managers use and understand analytics. Real-world cases throughout illustrate the capabilities, costs, and justifications of BI as applied to a variety of businesses. Skills introduced include: data collection, data integration, data analysis, data presentation, and actional insights. Some examples in the business domain include stock price prediction, social media analytics, customer analytics, etc. Prer., Graduate students only.
