Explorations in Genetics

Catalog description

A lab and discussion exploring genetics topics and techniques. This class covers Mendelian and non-Mendelian inheritance, genetic engineering, model organisms, and applications of genetics. Includes experimental design and implementation, data acquisition, reading and analysis of primary literature. Students must take both discussion and lab sections concurrently. Prer., BIOL 3830 and BIOL 3020. Coreq., BIOL 3830 or BIOL 3020 with permission of instructor.
