Catalog description

Two lecture. Theoretical and practical leadership instruction, in which students will examine several aspects of communication and leadership concepts such as written and oral communications, effective listening, assertiveness, personality, adult development, motivation, and organizational culture and change. Students will be well grounded in fundamental leadership principles and will be better prepared to apply such principles to a wide variety of life experiences. Students will be able to: apply practical leadership; employ communications effectively; identify assertiveness techniques; understand adult development and motivation; understand organizational culture and change. Prerequisite(s): MSC 101 , MSC 102 , or Department Consent.
