Catalog description

Four lecture. Integral and differential calculus, including multidimensional, with business and social science applications. Students will be able to: evaluate limits; identify continuous and not continuous functions; identify differentiable functions; differentiate functions of one and several variables; determine maxima and minima of functions; solve optimization problems utilizing Lagrange multipliers; integrate functions of one and several variables; employ concepts in course to analyze and graph functions in 2D and 3D; and solve application situations related to methods presented in this course. Prerequisite(s): MAT 151 or placement. General Education: Quantitative Reasoning
